An exhibition featuring photos of Việt Nam and works by famous Hungarian sculptor Farkas Aladár on Việt Nam’s late President Hồ Chí Minh and its struggle against the US is being held in Székesfehérvár City, Hungary.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyễn Tiến Thức thanked the Hungarian Government and people, especially war veterans, for their support for Việt Nam’s past struggle against the US.
He highly valued the role of members of the Hungary - Việt Nam Friendship Association, overseas Vietnamese students and the Vietnamese community in Hungary in fostering the two countries’ relations.
According to Botz László, chairman of Hungary - Việt Nam Friendship Association, many core members of the association are Hungarian veterans who supported Việt Nam during the American War in Việt Nam.
He asserted that the Hungarians have always held special affection for Việt Nam.
The exhibition was the first in a series of activities co-organised by the association and the Vietnamese embassy to celebrate the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (February 3) and Việt Nam’s 45th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification (April 30).
The exhibition is open to visitors until early March.
Székesfehérvár City is the former capital of Hungary, which witnessed the enthronement of 43 Hungarian kings.
