Major General Trần Ngọc Anh Visits and Congratulates the Army Literature and Arts Magazine on Its 69th Anniversary

On the afternoon of January 8, 2026, Major General Trần Ngọc Anh, Director of the Political Department and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Department of Politics, visited and extended his congratulations to the staff, reporters, and editors of the Army Literature and Arts Magazine on the occasion of the magazine’s 69th anniversary (January 1957 – January 2026).

At the meeting, Major General Ngọc Anh expressed his congratulations to the entire team of writers of the magazine. He emphasized that over nearly seven decades, the Army Literature and Arts Magazine has grown into an important literary and artistic forum for the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces, helping to inspire the spirit of soldiers, promote the image of “Uncle Hồ’s Soldiers” among the public and readers nationwide, while also reflecting the daily life, missions, and transformations of the Army in different historical periods.

He noted that these contributions are an inseparable part of the Army’s press and propaganda system, fostering political courage, cultural values, and patriotism, all in service of the Army’s development. Over the years, the magazine has made a strong mark in the field of propaganda; looking ahead, it should continue to assert its role and position. Major General Ngọc Anh also conveyed the congratulations of the Chief of the General Department of Politics, General Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, on the magazine’s traditional anniversary.

On behalf of the magazine’s leadership, Colonel and Writer Phùng Văn Khai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, sincerely thanked the General Department’s leadership for their close guidance and support. Colonel Phùng Văn Khai emphasized that such encouragement is a great source of motivation, enabling the editorial team to uphold the magazine’s literary and artistic tradition, foster solidarity and creativity, and continuously improve the quality of works to meet political requirements and the expectations of readers.

Representatives of the magazine also recalled its founding in January 1957, when the Army Literature and Arts Magazine was first publicly published and quickly became an important forum for literature and arts within the armed forces and society, enriching the spiritual life of both soldiers and readers. Over the past 69 years, the magazine has left its mark with numerous works, respected writers, and a strong team of collaborators, including writers, poets, journalists, and artists.

The meeting was held in a solemn yet warm atmosphere, reflecting the leadership’s deep attention to the Army’s press and arts activities, while also affirming the magazine’s role and significance in the cultural and spiritual life of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces and society.
