Thirty-five writers from across the country are participating in a literary camp on the theme “For National Security and Peaceful Life” taking place in Hoa Lu City, the northern province of Ninh Binh, until May 25.

This is the third camp held on this topic, jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Writers’ Association.
The event offers a unique opportunity for writers to gain firsthand experience through field trips and interactions with police officers actively serving across the country. These experiences provide rich material for vivid, authentic portrayals of the People's Public Security forces in literature.

At the camp, writers engage in conversations with exemplary officers whose remarkable achievements and personal stories help portray a multifaceted picture of public security personnel in peacetime.
The initiative is part of the fifth national literary contest on this theme, which runs from 2022 to 2025 and invites works of fiction, short stories, and reportage.

Launched in 1999, the contest has seen four successful editions with hundreds of high-quality entries that offer deep depictions of the People’s Public Security Forces, highlighting their commitment to national security and public order.
