The Ministry of National Defense on June 15 recognized outstanding individuals and collectives for their achievements in the 2020-2025 period and honored winners of the 25th Military Creative Youth Awards.
The conference, chaired by Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, reviewed five years of progress in the “Youth Creativity” movement across the armed forces.
Over the years, the Military Creative Youth Awards have seen increasing participation, with hundreds of thousands of grassroots-level projects and initiatives developed and widely applied in practice.

Many have achieved high rankings at national-level competitions. The range of fields has expanded, with growing emphasis on digital transformation, artificial intelligence (Al), and core technology research.
Several projects have also introduced creative approaches to promoting revolutionary ideals and ethical education within military units.
This year’s awards received 820 submissions, including 315 research topics and 505 practical initiatives from 2,188 authors, spanning 12 specialized fields.
General Giang praised the consistent rise in both the quantity and quality of entries over the past 25 years.

He commended young officers for their dedication and innovation, and acknowledged the critical support of central agencies and defense units in nurturing youth talent.
He called on all military units to continue implementing the Party’s guidelines on science, technology, and youth affairs.
Emphasizing the importance of recognition and incentives, he urged further promotion of youth-led innovation as a driver of breakthroughs in military science, digital transformation, and the successful execution of political missions.
