The Central Council awarded a second prize to four works, including "Vietnamese Cinema in the Era of Renovation and Integration" by Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, "Neo chu" by critic Nguyen Hoai Nam, “Artistic Decoration of Communal Houses in Binh Duong" by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, and “Nguyen Binh – The Spirit of the Nation Illuminated on Paper" by poet Nguyen Sy Dai.
Additionally, twelve works received third prizes, while nine were given special commendations. Notably, the Military Literature Magazine also was also recognized with an award.
Explaining the absence of a first prize this year, Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for the Theory and Criticism of Literature, stated that the council places significant emphasis on the academic rigor, originality, and research methods of the authors when addressing specific artistic phenomena. "Awards are considered prestigious, serious, and objective when they meet high, sometimes stringent, standards,” he underlined.
Among the 25 awarded works, 23 were authored by individuals and two by groups.

The council also recognized 18 publishers and media organizations for their outstanding contributions to the promotion of literary and artistic critique in 2023.
During the ceremony, Nguyen The Ky noted that since 2012, the council has held ten selection rounds, awarding high-quality theoretical and critical works while recognizing publishers and media for their contributions to the promotion of literature and art, as emphasized in the Politburo's Resolution 23-NQ/TW.
Nguyen The Ky highlighted the council's commitment to academic quality and innovative approaches in selecting award recipients, reinforcing the significance of this event in engaging the national cultural and artistic community, including critics and creators.
