A cultural and culinary program was kicked off on December 1 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

The program panel introduces rituals, festivals, and customs on the new year. It gives visitors a better understanding of traditional cultural features of ethnic groups, contributing to preserving and popularizing the traditional cultural values and strengthening solidarity among people in the upcoming New Year 2023.

Accordingly, more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups and 12 localities across the country are participating in the program.

The program includes various activities, such as “Highland market on Tet holiday,” pan-pipe (Khen) dancing performances made by the H'mong ethnic artisans from Bac Kan province, folk dances and songs performed by the ethnic minority community in the northern highland market space, the re-enactment of Pang Phoong festival (Thanksgiving) of the Khang ethnic people in Dien Bien province, among others.

The program will run until January 2, 2023.
