The colors of peace - the spirit of celebration

This year marks a historic milestone: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

This year marks a historic milestone: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). To honor the occasion, a grand military parade and mass march will be held on September 2 at Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Square, the symbolic heart of the nation.

On the evening of August 21, the first full-dress rehearsal for the anniversary parade (Mission A80) took place in the cool breeze of early autumn in Hanoi, though the energy of the event kept spirits high.

Months of individual training had led up to this moment, with combined rehearsals beginning in July in Son Tay, Hanoi, under the scorching northern sun. Young men and women, proud in their unit uniforms, devoted themselves wholeheartedly to Mission A80.

The program will open with a traditional torch relay and flag-raising ceremony, followed by the parade. For the first time, a naval parade at Cam Ranh Bay will be broadcast live to Hanoi, adding a new dimension to the celebration.

The presence of international military delegations will highlight both solemnity and solidarity. Civilian, cultural, and sports contingents will also march, creating a vibrant portrait of national strength.

VNQD Online brings readers images from the first rehearsal day at Ba Dinh Square-moments of pride, unity, and anticipation.
