The yellow daisy village in My Binh ward, Phan Rang – Thap Cham, in the southern province of Ninh Thuan, is filled with the enchanting colour of yellow daises during the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year Festival).

Visitors come to the village to revel in the colorful flowers.

My Binh is famous for planting yellow daises, especially for the traditional Tet holiday. Visitors flock to the village each year to experience and take photos with the beds of flowers under the radiant sunshine.

In recent years, the local farmers have planted several other varieties of daisy, such as Japanese marigold, with various colours. Thanks to the favourable weather this year, the yield and quality of flowers has increased significantly.

According to Chairman of My Binh Ward People’s Committee, Dang Ngoc Nang, due to the rapid urbanisation, the area of agricultural land has been gradually narrowed.

Currently, the ward possesses only four hectares of yellow daises. However, the local farmers are still developing their traditional craft, earning a moderately high income from them. The local authorities intend to set measures to help farmers expand the plantation area.

Japanese marigolds has high economic values, so farmers in My Binh ward have expanded the area of this kind of flowers for the upcoming Tet holiday.
