The Long Tong (Starting a new crop season) festival opened on the ninth and the 10th day of the first lunar month in Dinh Hoa Safety Area (ATK Dinh Hoa), Thai Nguyen province.
The festival aimed to pray for bumper crops. Cultural activities such as a spring camping, a photo exhibition, and a banh giay (a kind of rice cake) making competition were held during this year's festival. These various traditional cultural activities and folk games in the festival also attracted scores of tourists.
