Exchange on book “The teacher” of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh held

The People’s Military Publishing House, and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union jointly held an exchange on a book titled “My teacher” of former Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.

On March 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural House for Youth, Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Information and Communications, the People’s Military Publishing House, and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union jointly held an exchange on a book titled “My teacher” of former Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.

A short time after making debut, the book has attracted a lot of readers nationwide and has released nearly 6,000 copies.

During the exchange, Director and Chief-editor of the People's Military Publishing House Senior Colonel Pham Van Truong introduced the book to readers and youths in Ho Chi Minh City.

The book wrote about the life and career of late Major General, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Dang Tran Duc, aka Ba Quoc and Nguyen Van Ta, former member of the Party Central Committee, Director of Department 12 of General Department II. He was known as one of the best agent of the country.

The book features the great contribution of Major General Dang Tran Duc to the intelligence sector in the cause of national construction and defense and his family's silent sacrifice. It also recalls victories and stories about him.

At the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh held that this is the book for the youths. The story about Major General Dang Tran Duc and his comrades was not only about himself and the intelligence sector but also about Uncle Ho’s revolutionary cause which should be treasured and preserved.

He hoped that the book would help the youths in Ho Chi Minh City to get to know more about Major General Dang Tran Duc, thereby treasuring the value of peace.
